Cultural Fair 2012

May 14th was the annual Cultural Fair at Elizabeth Academy! The students
have been focusing on the European continent this year.

During the Fair students shared food and artifacts from France,
Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Ireland and Greece.

Traditions, cuisine and languages of the world were shared while friends and families enjoyed a presentation of song, dance and cultural displays by the children.

Thank you to all who made this year's fair a huge success!

Spring is in the Air!

April brings the exciting season of spring, and with it comes warmer weather and growth.

We want to thank all the friends and families who joined us for our Celebration of Spring! The children enjoyed showcasing their projects and watching the hatchlings of butterflies, ladybugs and chicks.

It's a refreshing and exciting time of year and we love learning and growing with your children!

“Spring is the time of plans and projects.”

Happy New Year!

January means Open Houses for Private schools in the Salt Lake Valley! We will be having our OPEN HOUSES: Tuesday, January 24th and Tuesday, February 7th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Please encourage any friends or acquaintances who you think might be interested in Elizabeth Academy to join us for refreshments and an informative evening about our school and the benefits of a Montessori education. Jonathan Wolff and Michael Dorer will be on hand for the Open Houses as well as for this month's PARENT CAFES which are scheduled for Wednesday, January 25th and Thursday, January 26th from 8:45-9:45 am.

In addition to the Open Houses, we will be offering Open Observations of Classrooms on the monitors for prospective parents. These are coming up in February. CLASSROOM OBSERVATIONS are scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th from 9:00-11:00 am. Immediately following the Classroom Observations in February, our Parent Cafe for that month will be a luncheon buffet. Again, Jonathan Wolff and Michael Dorer will be available to answer your questions about Montessori at ALL levels of the curriculum; Early Childhood, Elementary, even Middle School! This will be an extremely informative and interactive forum. Please mark your calendar for the following dates/times and invite any friends interested in learning about an authentic Montessori education. This is an opportunity to grill the EXPERTS at our Montessori GRILL: Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday February 8th at 11:00 am-1:00 pm.

Please call the office if you have any questions regarding any of these events. We look forward to seeing you!

Welcome to Our Blog

Welcome to our blog!

We are an authenitc, accredited Montessori school serving typical children agese 2-9. The Elizabeth Academy is a private Montessori school with an emphasis on inclusion (children with special needs comprise up to 20% of enrollment). After researching alternatives, we believe that a Montessori education is the BEST education for all children as it cultivates independence, creative thinking and learning at an individualized, accelerated pace.

Elizabeth Academy mandates legitimate inclusion --creating a slice of the real world with a safety net of real professionals at arms length and open arms to competently and lovingly help navigate the path.

We look forward to working with you and your child to create a brighter future!
